Nuclear Summit Decision Not Binding On Absent Nations, Says Ali Asghar Soltanieh

aliTehran, Apr 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) While delegates from 47 countries meet in Washington to attend a two days nuclear summit to discuss the steps which should be taken to reduce the risk of passing of the nuclear power into the hands of the terrorist groups all over the world, Iran is voicing its protest for the summit. The Iranian Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Ali Asghar Soltanieh on Sunday asserted in front of media sources that the decision which would be taken at the nuclear summit would not be binding on the nations that are not present at the conference. Iran is not being represented in the nuclear summit.

On Sunday, Ali Asghar Soltanieh went on to say that the decisions which would result from the conference is already known to all, adding that such a decision will not be held by the countries that are not being represented in the summit. He allegedly accused United States as being the real threat to the world. Ali Asghar Soltanieh’s statement reportedly hinted at the disagreement that the two nations have over Iran’s nuclear program. Ali Asghar Soltanieh has played a key role to push Iran’s nuclear program forward.

The US State Department has reportedly mentioned that Iran’s nuclear program will be one of the “significant” topics that would be discussed during the nuclear summit. Though Iran has repeatedly mentioned that its nuclear program is peaceful and would be applied to produce energy, the Western powers believe that Iran’s nuclear power would lead to formation of destructive atomic bombs.
