North Korean leader names new prime minister
June 7th, 2010 - 3:33 pm ICT by BNO NewsPYONGYANG (BNO NEWS) — North Korean leader Kim Jong-il named a new prime minister on Monday during a rare parliamentary session, state media reported.
Choe Yong-rim, who is the chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers’ Party, was sworn in as the country’s prime minister. Choe will replace Kim Yong-il, who served as prime minister since April 2007.
