Nong Khai, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom are warned of flooding conditions
July 10th, 2008 - 10:40 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiThe Meteorological Department reported at 4 AM today (July 10th) that a southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand is rather strong. A low pressure cell covers over upper Vietnam, causing abundant rainfall and isolated heavy rain nationwide. People in the risk areas of Nong Khai, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom provinces should beware of flooding conditions. Waves of about two to three meters are still present in the Andaman Sea, especially in the thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution.
Bangkok metropolis and vicinity can expect fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain. The daily temperature would range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. The speed of southwesterly winds would be around 15 to 35 kilometers per hour.
