January 10th, 2011 - 7:49 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Jan 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘No pants subway day’ was held recently and thousands of people participated in it. It ought to be mentioned that it became an international culture after seven guys started it in 2002 at New York and several people have caught on since then.
So what is the No Pants Subway Day all about? Well it is about stripping off your pants to the underpants just before taking the train. This year’s event took place on the 9th day of January with some 3,500 people taking part in the event in New York alone. The organizers, Improve Everywhere claim that the event took place in more than 24 countries with several people taking place in the event throughout the world.
From the record of participants, it seems that the number of participants keeps rising steadily. Only seven people started it in 2002 with the number jumping to thirty. Now that the participants have reached almost four thousand in New York alone, it seems it is just a matter of time that nude travelers become a part of the world’s culture.
