no-pants-dayJan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It appears that the chilly temperature did not stop people in the New York City to celebrate the No Pants Day, which has actually started as a jest. The event has been observed by the metro riders of the New York City, every year, since 2002. It has been reported that the popularity of the event attracted people from different countries of the world and sixteen countries now observe this day.

Improv Everywhere, the organizer of the No Pants Day in New York City has reported about its success. The representative of the organization in a recent interview stated that around three thousand people in New York beat the cold and came out without any clothes. In their official website, the organizer claimed that people in Australia and Switzerland also responded to this event and started observing it.

No Pants Day, which completed ninth anniversary this year, is celebrated by different groups. As per the report, there is no serious reason behind this act. The organizers said that making chaos and giving some fun to people is the real motive of the day. Though everyone does not celebrate the day, no one has objected to the celebration. It has been reported that many people come out in complete dress like any other day. They do not tease or mock the people, who drop their pants in the transit. Like every year, this year too, there were some people, who did not have the idea of such a celebration and were surprised to see people dropping pants in subways. Some of them were found giggling also.
