A New Jersey college valedictorian named Emily Hawley did something totally unexpected after her speech at the ceremony at the Centenary College of NJ. She stunned all her classmates and her boyfriend. She proposed to her longtime boyfriend for marriage to everyone’s surprise. Josh walker, her fiance and boyfriend was taken aback by her proposal which was so unexpected but he gracefully accepted it. The couple had been engaged to each other for a period of seven years.

Emily Hawley made a direct proposal to her boyfriend after her speech at the college ceremony and her boyfriend came to the stage and accepted her proposal of marriage. The classmates of the student were also surprised at her act but they were happy after her boyfriend said yes to her proposal. The tears of joy were running down their cheeks and they screamed for her. She was on cloud nine after seeing this kind of overwhelming response. Her boyfriend also said later that the proposal though unconventional made him extremely happy. The couple has not yet zeroed in on the date of wedding yet.

Since Josh walker did not have any idea that his girlfriend will propose to him he did not have a wedding ring with him. They are both residents of Maine and they started seeing each other since they were in high school. It is true that very few people who are in same colleges get such proposals from their beloved ones.
