Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s Health In Huge Speculation
January 11th, 2010 - 9:18 pm ICT by GD ( 73 comments )By Madhuri Dey
Ghana, Jan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The health of the Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua is causing serious concerns in the country, which is one of the biggest exporters of oil in the world. President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had been admitted to a hospital in Saudi Arabia about 49 days back, after he complained of heart problems. That was the last that the world heard of him. Ever since, there has been no news of either his well being or of his possible demise, leading to much speculation, most of them concluding in his death.
All the news that is available on the 58 year old Nigerian President is based on speculations, given that the political authorities are tight-lipped about the matter. Some sources claim that President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has suffered serious brain damage, resulting in complete loss of cognition. In fact, some of the sources claim that so much is the damage that it has rendered the President unable to recognize even his wife. However, the story, which is one of the most rampant ones, has been rubbished by the government officials, but no alternative report had been provided.
President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had been diagnosed with acute pericarditis. The last bit of concrete information that was available on him was that he was responding to the treatment. Some other sources have also suggested that it is possible that the President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua might be clinically dead, or at least, that he might be in coma for the past two weeks. Needless to say, the matter has led to major disruption in the country. Most importantly, the political relations between Nigeria and Washington has almost come to a standstill.

What is so special about Yaradua’s death, Abacha a military Head os State died nothing happened, why has people being so sentimental about his. I think he should be impeached if he is not ready to resign honourably. The embarasement is getting too much than what Nigerians can bear.

Speculations and power games make a mountain out of anthill. The Northern power bloc is scared of the out come should Yar’Adua bow out. Yar’Adua’s ascendance to power is fraudlent since his health condition was known before his election and he was selected. So what’s the fuss all about? Let every Nigerian be bold and face reality. That’s the only way we can truely be freed.

January 30th, 2010 at 8:24 pm
All of you Nigerians are fools. First of all it is absolutely amazing how you folks dislike each other (black syndrom I guess like the ruwandans), Your curruption exceeds what the world can tolerate, coupled with that you show serious intolerance to one another, You wish each other bad luck… what next? what a serious bunch of fools! Best if you wash your dirty linens in-house in your ugly stinkin black country…..black and ugly people.
February 3rd, 2010 at 5:59 pm
let us be patience and see what God has for us. Its embarrassment to us wid all dis rumors. If d president is not dead, let the house sent a delicate and let him sign for his deputy to perform his duty according to the constitution. Let us keep praying for his quick recovery. February 3rd, 2010 at 7:19 pm
Hello Distinguished Ladies and Gentle Men of Great Nation,The Holy Bible records in the Book of Hebrews 13:1 “LET BROTHERLY LOVE CONTINUE”. But it is very painful that in our country Nigeria there’s no perfect Love and Unity. The health of Mr President should be the concern of all its citizens but why division? It’s true that Mr President has make that mistake of not handing over before His travelling but we should’nt because of that pray for His death because it will do us no Good rather regret. So, while we keep praying for his quick recovery, let the officials who sit closer to him inquire from him his stage and let him be “PERMITTED” to say what his opinion is concerning His Country’s Stuidity. And for somebody calling the whole Nation fools, such fello should be mindful of his or her tongue because, NOT ALL TWELVE ARE JUDAS. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
February 6th, 2010 at 3:18 am
In order to save Nigeria from this ongoing embarrasment as pertaining to yar adua’s illness,it is morally right for him to hand over to his deputy, political sentiment apart.Nigeria is greater than any ethnic group.
February 6th, 2010 at 4:48 pm
Nigerians are no doubt very intelligent people as I have been oppurtuned to work with quite a number of them but I reiterate that they are foolish people(they are thus - the opposite of smart). They gave all there wealth away to live in poverty and they worry about meager issues like this one at hand, why dont you youths work out a way to make you and your country rich again? Your country is scandalous, in shambles and nothing works I learnt from some other expats, what a shame! Believe it I am saying this because I feel for you people being a fellow African (though Arab).
February 6th, 2010 at 11:22 pm

Shahzad(AL ANSAR MILLAT WELFARE SOCIETY,Basar Bigha,Soh Sarai,Bihar Sharif,Nalanda) : Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has asked Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee to revive the projects that her predecessor Lalu Prasad had announced for the state. These include setting up of factories at Chhapra, Marhaura and Madhepura, and building bridges on the Ganga and Kosi rivers.Lalu, former Bihar chief minister and Nitish’s bete noire, had announced the projects with much fanfare but little progress was made on them. Now, apparently with an eye on the approaching assembly elections, Nitish wants the pending projects completed. It is said that while Mamata did not believe Lalu’s claim of bringing about a turnaround in the railway’s performance, and even brought out a white paper on his term, she shares excellent relations with Nitish. In a recent letter, the CM reminded Mamata of their meeting last August and expressed gratitude for the interest shown by her in railway projects related to Bihar.”I want to thank you for the interest taken by you, and substantial progress has been made in this regard. I am happy to inform you that, as decided in the meeting, regular interactions are being held at the level of chief secretary- member (engineering) and day-to-day issues relating to land acquisition etc.are being sorted out,” the CM wrote.Nitish pointed out that the review meetings indicated there was little progress on the projects mainly because of lack of funds. He stressed that completing them in a “time-bound manner” would be in the “interest” of Bihar. He added: “The state government is willing to provide all necessary assistance in the completion of the projects. I request you to provide sufficient funds… in the railway budget for 2010- 11.” As if to settle scores with Lalu, Nitish has called the Patna- Digha rail track, on which passenger trains ply, “non-viable”. This was the first rail link that Lalu had revived after becoming railway minister in 2004.Nitish wants to construct a four- lane highway on the track.”The state government is ready to allocate alternative land in lieu of this (rail track). This may also please be expedited and a date fixed for the public function for handing over the same,” he requested in the letter.
Nitish’s long wish-list mentions the introduction of 13 new trains, including a Patna-New Delhi Duranto and those linking Patna to Bangalore and Dehradun, Darbhanga to Mumbai, Bhagalpur to Bikaner, Muzaffarpur to Pune and Rajgir to Howrah.
He has also asked Mamata to enlist Gaya and Hajipur for being developed as “world class stations”. Lalu had announced the setting up of a wheel factory in Chhapra, a diesel locomotive plant at Marhaura and a greenfield electric locomotive manufacturing unit at Madhepura. While Chhapra and Marhaura fall in the Saran Lok Sabha constituency that Lalu represents, he has contested many times from Madhepura

Nothing is as admirable as having a functional rudder in a great ship as ours to steer the course safely to habour. As much as we owe the president our most sincere prayers, the caution for us is to propagate whatever is true and shun vehemently what’s false.Events that unfold daily expose the facts that things will shapen.I’m convinced.
February 19th, 2010 at 1:08 am
Pls, is the president still alive?
February 19th, 2010 at 4:28 pm
i’m also praying for him, he is such a nice man that doesn’t need any probem.i believe he is not dead, he is still alive. th only thing is that it wil take time to recover fully.
February 19th, 2010 at 7:32 pm
what are you trying to say right now that he is not fine right
February 23rd, 2010 at 7:23 pm
Oh great Nigerians of the great nation Nigeria.mention must be made on prayers for Mr president wishing him quick recovery and long life.To me i think the problem Nigeria is facing now is much more than the current situation of Mr president because no matter how long we live on earth one day will surely be the last day man uses on earth. My own prayer is that either dead or alive of Mr president Allah should provide the leader that will lead us right.08087236940

Naija lets be sincere 2 our self 4 once. I wish d president nothing but quick recovery, fitness and resignation. But if he is dead then let us know and stop tricking, giving credit 2 life while death has taken over. After all he is not the first president 2 die on his tenure, Abacha did and so many others in and across Nigeria. Why is his different. He have about 1m people to rule and serve, so quick decision should be made. That position should be given 2 another person like jonathan Gudluck as his vice and constitution demand or if by chance he did anything wrong not 2 take dat place then inform the citizen and it should be handed 2 other many prominent men in the country seeking 4 it that can handle it and stop tricking Gudluck. And may woe betide any1 siding the evil side.

people should mind what they say about yadua and his health conditions.we should pray for him.
my only fear is that the military might take over the governance of the nation exept they(military) are sleeping.
March 7th, 2010 at 9:52 pm
What could be worst than death on the issue of ailing President Yar Adua. Death is inevitable. Both the leaders and the followers must die one day. so, i see no reason why Nigerians should not know the condition of whom they had had confidence in as their leader. Any thing done in secret is evil.
March 10th, 2010 at 4:57 am
President Yar Adua is casing more harm to Nigeria. He should resign and let who want to rule continue from where he stop. But all i belived is that Aneni is the one missleading Yar Adua.
March 12th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
they should let us know if our president is dead or alive, to avoid confusion for nigerians, because presently people don’t know if we have a living ruler or not.But i pity our president because he did not enjoy that post as others did.
March 12th, 2010 at 9:36 pm
I will also want Goodluck to handle the post with the mind that he is acting and not president, because no one knows tomorrow, if such happen another and another overthrow him or her, i don’t think the person will be happy. So Goodluck help yaradua out.
March 12th, 2010 at 9:41 pm
