Nicholas J. McKeone To Be Tried By Douglas County District Court

bildeJan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A fifth grade teacher of the Ashland Park-Robbins Elementary School named Nicholas J. McKeone has been ordered by the law to stand trial for the charges of sexual assault against him. The teacher of the Omaha school however has refused to make any comments when it came to the question of the allegations against him. The charges of the assault levied against him shot up after two students issued out statements which stated that Nicholas J. McKeone had assaulted them sexually. What was more shocking was that the allegations had come from boy students.

According to sources, Nicholas J. McKeone faces two felony counts against him on a basis of third-degree assault. While one of the boys, a 11 year old said that the touched him several times in his lower body parts while he had spent nights at the teacher’s residence. Nicholas J. McKeone used to coach a soccer team where the boy played. The teacher would insist hard that the boy slept in the same bed with him. Another allegation came from a 13 year old boy who claimed that Nicholas J. McKeone had touched him inappropriately several times two years back.

While Nicholas J. McKeone’s defense lawyer J. William Gallup said that his client is displaying his sense of poor judgment by trying to fraternize with his students. He refuted that the charges did not indicate that his client was involved in nay sexual activity. However, the court has not taken this lightly. A judge at the Douglas County District Court clearly stated that the preliminary hearing was enough to prove that the 29 year old teacher does stand out for a trail. The Omaha Public schools have put him on a leave from November last year. HR departments of the district have even recommended for his firing.
