Leslie W. Marshall, 42, from Missouri was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, Robbery in the 3rd degree and being a Fugitive from Justice. Also arrested were Thomas M. Knack, 27, and Lenny S. Ackerman Jr., 25. Both were charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.
On Tuesday, State Police Liberty received a report of a robbery that occurred at Medi-shoppe, a pharmacy located in Livingston Manor in the Town of Rockland. Investigation at the scene revealed that a male subject, later identified as Marshall, entered the pharmacy, demanded drugs and then fled the scene in an unknown direction with a quantity of drugs.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Knack and Ackerman allegedly drove Marshall from the scene immediately following the robbery, and later destroyed the evidence. On Thursday, Knack and Ackerman were located in Liberty by State Police and were taken into custody without incident.
Upon Troopers arrival at Marshall’s last known location, Marshall fled into a wooded area and was subsequently located and taken into custody without further incident.
An inquiry on Marshall revealed his status as a fugitive from Vienna, Missouri, where he is wanted by the Maries County Sheriff’s Office for felony Traffic Violations and Resisting Arrest.
Marshall was arraigned in the Town of Rockland Court and was sent to the Sullivan County Jail to reappear next Thursday. Knack and Ackerman are scheduled to appear in the Town of Liberty Court on February 23 at 2 p.m. local time.
