New York, Oct 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) For some, the Statue of Liberty is the ultimate symbol of brilliance with its imposing structure stunning glancing over the New York harbor. A photograph that was recently taken by a New York based photographer holds testimony to just that as it captures that iconic sculpture being hit with a bolt of lightening. The spectacular picture has been taken by photographer Jay Fine who is known to have spent two hours at the Battery Park City with the aim of grabbing the perfect picture of the Statue of Liberty during lightening.

The stunning photograph was taken by Jay Fine on September 22 after he braved the adverse weather conditions of the day in a bid to capture the moment in his camera. Amazingly, the 58-year-old photographer has been attempted to get the perfect shot of the Statue of Liberty being stuck by a lightening for the past forty years. While talking to the media about how he managed to capture the magnificent moment, Jay Fine revealed that the weather officials had predicted that a storm was on its way in Manhattan on that day and it seemed like a perfect opportunity for him to grab the the image.

Before capturing the amazing shot of the Statue of Liberty being hit with lightening, Jay Fine supposedly took 81 shots in order to capture the perfect moment and when he finally realized the spectacular image that he had captured, he was shell-shocked. The photographer further described the picture as ‘a once in a lifetime opportunity’ while adding that it was surely the first photograph of its kind.
