BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT (BNO NEWS) – A resident of New London, Connecticut was sentenced to 42 months in federal prison followed by ten years of supervised release, for distributing crack cocaine and for violating the conditions of his parole, prosecutors announced on Friday.

Damien Bryant, 35, and a female associate were selling crack cocaine at a motel in East Lyme. Officers of the Connecticut Statewide Narcotics Task Force noticed and started supervising controlled purchases of crack from both suspects.

In the early morning of September 14, agents executed search warrant at the motel’s room. Bryant was in possession of a plastic bag with 13.7 grams of crack and jumped from the balcony to avoid detention. 200 grams of powder cocaine, 34.3 grams of crack cocaine, 3.2 grams of marijuana, a black scale and $2794 in cash were seized at Bryant’s motel room.

Bryant’s previous conviction was in 2000 when he received 70 months’ imprisonment for cocaine trafficking in Rhode Island.
