Boston, Jan 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For all lovers of art, this news couldn’t have come at a better time. There is mounting speculation that a new Leonardo Da Vinci painting has been found. And if the painting is proved to be painted by the ace painter then it would be the first painting of the Renaissance man to be discovered since the last century.

After the painting is confirmed to be that of the painter, then there is going to be a huge battle between the museums and the private art collectors to acquire the painting. And since it is a Leonardo Da Vinci painting so it is bound to fetch billions of pounds. However before this happens, it needs to be confirmed that the figurehead of the renaissance artists had indeed made it.

The painting is called the “Young Girl In Profile In Renaissance Dress” is painted in chalk and ink. It is a portrait of a pretty girl who seems to be a teenager. Her style of dressing shows that she might belong to the 15th century. Investigation has revealed that the teenager in the portrait might be Bianca Sforza who was the daughter of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan from 1452 to 1508. She was also his mistress Bernardina de Corradis. The portrait dates to about 1496. Bianca Sforza was known as the Bella Principessa. She married the Duke’s army captain, Galeazzo Sanseverino, a patron of Leonardo’s and died barely four months after the wedding. He painted other mistresses of the duke, Cecilia Gallerani and Lucrezia Crivelli.
