WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) — A North Carolina-based Marine from Florida was killed in a bomb blast in southern Afghanistan on Monday, the U.S. Department of Defense confirmed on Tuesday.

Lance Cpl. Justin J. Wilson, 24, of Palm City, Florida was killed in Helmand province on Monday. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
