Nov 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Natalee Holloway, who has been missing since 2005 is still a case of mystery. The law enforcement officials last week found out a jawbone of a woman with a tooth attached with it in Aruba beach. The investigators were of the opinion that the jawbone might belong to the missing teen and asked her family to show her dental record so that the forensic department can confirm.
Natalee Holloway’s father Dave Holloway said that the authorities have not yet said anything to them and the whole matter is still a mystery. He said that the whole case has now become a case of “total silence”. A source close to Natalee Holloway’s family said that the forensic team who are charged with examining jaw bones certainly know the results by now. A reputed Dutch paper reported that the bone belonged to the lower half of the jaw and it had one molar intact still. In the meanwhile, FBI officials have confirmed that they have received the samples of Natalee Holloway’s dental records from her family and a thorough investigation has been initiated in the matter to ascertain whether the jawbone that has been found actually belongs to the teenager.
The jaw bone was reportedly found by the tourists in Aruba beach last week who brought the bone to his hotel and subsequently, it was forwarded to authorities in Netherlands for further analysis. Netherlands Forensic Institute spokeswoman Inge Oevering, in his statement said that the result will be announced as soon as possible. Natalee Holloway disappeared in 2005 and the suspect Joran van der Sloot has been formally charged in her case.
