Amsterdam, Feb 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Joran van der Sloot is the main suspect in the Natalee Holloway murder case has confessed to disposing the American’s body in the Caribbean island of Aruba, according to a report by BNO News. Joran van der Sloot made the confession while giving an interview to a television journalist. However his claims have been met by disbelief. The Aruba Prosecutor Peter Blanken said that Joran Van Der Sloot’s candid confession in the interview to the Dutch station RTL-5 is simply unbelievable.
Peter Blanken said to CNN on Tuesday that van der Sloot says in the interview that he dumped Holloway’s body “in a swamp on the north end of the island. He was very unspecific.” He also added that the television company had contacted them, and showed them the footage from the interview, in which he makes the dumping claim. After learning of the marsh-angle, the prosecutors office and the Aruba police investigated. “We tried to verify it,” Blanken said. “It couldn’t be true. We talked with several witnesses and reviewed several facts. The story is unbelievable and not true, in my opinion.”
Peter was asked that why would Van Der Sloot makes such claims in a TV interview, then he replied that he wasn’t aware of the cause, and instead Joran ought to be asked this question instead.
Natalee Holloway belonged to Mountain Brook, Ala. She was just 18, when she was murdered. Her last sighting was, when she was seen leaving a bar in Aruba, on her high school graduation trip in May 2005. Her dead body hasn’t been recovered as yet.
