Murder-suicide suspected in Tampa, Florida apartment deaths
April 11th, 2010 - 1:30 pm ICT by BNO NewsTAMPA, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) — A maintenance worker at an apartment complex in northern Tampa, Florida discovered a couple who had been dead for two weeks, deputies said on Saturday. A murder-suicide is suspected.
Deputies were called to apartment number 424 at 14022 Halstead Court and found the victims, a husband and wife, in the bedroom, said Debbie Carter, a spokeswoman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Their identities are not expected to be released on Saturday because next of kin has not been notified.
It appeared the husband shot the wife before turning the gun on himself, according to preliminary investigation.
