Mug shot of the Times Square bomber ‘Faisal Shahzad’ released

New York, May 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The mug shot of the Times Square bomber – Faisal Shahzad has been released. He was involved in the failed bombing plot of Times Square on the 1st of May, and was subsequently arrested while he was trying to board a flight. Even though he has been in custody for over a fortnight, yet he appeared in the court for the very first time on Tuesday.
The court hearing was very brief, and lasted for just 10 minutes. And during this hearing, Faisal didn’t speak much. In fact he said only one word and that was ‘Yes’ when he was questioned about his affidavit. He was asked to confirm the authenticity of an affidavit about his financial standing, so that the court could appoint a public defender, so that he can get a just and fair trial.
He was dressed in a gray sweat suit and he was wearing his hair a bit long. He was also not clean shaved and sported some stumble. He also seemed unruffled by all the attention, and also hardly betrayed any emotion in the court hearing. He was present in the court, but all the same, his hands were handcuffed behind his back.
