mortal_270x152June 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The lovers of the game Mortal Kombat have reasons to feel good about. It has been reported that Warner Bros. Interactive is going to release a new edition of the game in the next year.

The new game will be for the owners of Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3. The publisher has declared that this version will be quite gory and offer more bloodbath. Those who had bought and played the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe which was released two years back can recall the finishing moves were toned down to an extent.

The new version of Mortal Kombat game that will hit the stores next year will have an interesting new Co-Op Arcade mode which will enable a team consisting of 2 players to fight other couple teams online. The game features a revamped 2D fighting style.

The graphics in the game has also been stepped up. This is the first game belonging to the Mortal Kombat franchisee that will be released exclusively by Warner Bros. Last year the company acquired the rights for the popular game from the now defunct Midway Games. The earlier game was published in collaboration with that company.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to buy the game next year. A teaser trailer of the game is out in the web and the interested gamers can download that. The trailer is quite engaging and it warns that the content is not appropriate for kids.

The gamers who have played the earlier versions have become quite excited with the announcement and they are looking forward to the release of the game.
