Panama, Sep 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A mystery creature came ashore and was reportedly beaten to death by a group of teenagers in Panama becomes a hot sensation on the web.
It is such a big sensation that it has a Wikipedia page as well on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montauk_Monster According to the Wikipedia, The “Montauk Monster” was an unidentified creature that allegedly washed ashore dead on a beach near the Montauk, New York, business district in July 2008.
The identity of the creature, and the veracity of stories surrounding it, have been the subject of unresolved controversy and speculation, although the current consensus, based on dental patterns and details of the front paws, is that it was a raccoon.
The beast’s hairless, rubbery flaky body and revolting facial features look similar to the Montauk Monster, the still-unidentified animal photographed on a New York beach last year. The group of teenagers, who beat up the unidentified animal to death, claimed that they did it in self-defense.
Montauk Monster has become a sensation on Twitter as well, with many with users like @marmite_ @IHateMyCubicle @pegchandler posting news, images and even videos of the unidentified animal.
