Arlington Cemetery Grave IDs have been assigned to individual soldiers for resting in peace. The famous military cemetery has some 300000 American war veterans, presidents and dignitaries buried. But reports say that the cemetery has become a part of a mix up involving at least 211 remains.

Army’s Inspector General has launched an investigation that found complaints of employee misconduct and negligence in management at the National Cemetery has left at least 211 residues being misplaced and misidentified and there could be more to come..

Lt. Gen. Steven Whitcomb said in a statement on Thursday that they found that the incident was not intentional, for a criminal propose or it didn’t happen because of intended slackness.

Whitcomb could not say the mix ups were from which military war. But he confirmed that the problem has been specified in three areas of the cemetery, which includes sections 59, 65 and 66.

The officials said that two top managers of the cemetery could face punishment. An independent review committee has been created to look into the confusion.
