July 3, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Abbi Obermiller is the 17-year old Ohio teen, who had been missing since June 6. Abbi has, however, now been found and has been reported to be in a secure condition. The policemen raided the attic of an upstairs apartment in New London, Ohio, subsequent to receiving a nameless tip-off. The apartment had been rented by 20-year-old Robert Young, who happens to be the boyfriend of Abbi. Abbi was unearthed by the police officers hiding in the attic.
Abbi was subsequently transported to a police station, where she provided data to the police about the people, who had assisted her to run away. Abbi’s father, James, has asserted to The Norwalk Reflector that Abbi was delighted to witness her parents and that she expressed readiness to return to her house.
Abbi had evaporated from the residence of her grandparents on June 6. She mentioned, rather ambiguously, in a note that she was fleeing as she could not deal with the drama in her life and that she desired to see her kith and kin when the drama diminishes and the state of affairs surrounding her stabilizes.
After being detected by the police personnel, Abbi interacted with her parents and grandparents momentarily after which she was transported to the county adolescent confinement facility. At some point in a confinement inquiry, it was declared that she was culpable for hindering official business and that she had behaved in a disobedient manner.
The judge commanded Abbi to reside at the Erie County adolescent detention facility for at least another week.
Her parents have declared that Abbi was a well-mannered girl, who achieved straight A’s at her school and desired to enter oncology. The parents have crucially mentioned that their association with Abbi underwent uneasiness after the commencement of her relationship with Robert Young. Young was censured by the parents of Abbi as being an unhealthily overprotective boyfriend.
Young has repudiated reports that he was responsible for instigating Abbi’s vanishing. Nonetheless, the policemen have stated that Young delivered to Abbi a sequence of text messages that told her when to depart from the house.
