nick2Nov. 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nicholas Francisco, a former SeaTac man who had disappeared more than a year back, turned up safe and sound, but with a completely different identity. Nicholas’ disappearance had triggered a massive manhunt that had resulted in vain. It had also led to widespread speculations about the possible reasons for his disappearance over the internet. The King County Sheriff’s Department has closed the case, saying that Francisco had done nothing illegal.

Francisco had gone missing on February 13, 2008. He used to work with the Queen Anne Advertising Agency. He had left his workplace, informing his colleagues that he was going back home to make cookies with his wife, Christine, who was then pregnant with their third child. That was the last his acquaintances saw of him. Some days later, his car was found abandoned. His wife filed a case for divorce when he did not return for quite some time. She stated as reasons- willful abandonment and extreme mental, physical and sexual harassment. All through this period, she had to be subject to a lot of accusing fingers that were raised against her. She was the subject of many conspiracy and murder theories, all of which she vehemently opposed.

The King County Sheriff’s Department revealed on Monday that Francisco had been found last week, living in another state. He has assumed a new identity and holds a different job. Since the case is closed ad there is no criminal activity involved, they refused to disclose the name of the state, only mentioning that it is outside Washington. However, a law enforcement group has identified Francisco’s new place of residence as California.
