July 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Larry Schnackenberg, a man hailing from Lenexa who was reported missing since July 8 has been found alive yesterday. The Lenexa Police officials reported that he was found safe on a Johnson County park which is about four miles from where he disappeared. The police reported that Larry Schnackenberg was disoriented and dehydrated when a park patrol officer Rick Reynolds found him yesterday along the ground in Shawnee Mission Park. He was taken to Shawnee Mission Regional Medical Center last night where the medical officials reported that he was in good condition.
Larry Schnackenberg, who was looking forward to his daughter’s wedding on July 17 did not return home on July 8. The family of the 58 year old man reported it to the police and appealed for his return. However, the wedding was postponed owing to the disappearance of Larry Schnackenberg. The police has not yet interrogated Larry Schnackenberg and hence they are not yet sure where the missing man had been as he did not contact his family members. Rick Reynolds, who found out the missing man said that he was on his routine patrol tour and suddenly he saw Larry Schnackenberg walking towards him, the officer said that Larry Schnackenberg seemed to have lost lot of weight and had many insect bites on his face.
Rick Reynolds contacted Johnson County Park Police who admitted Larry Schnackenberg to the hospital. The patrol officer said that when he found him the first thought that struck in his mind was Larry Schnackenberg’s family would be very happy to get the him back home. Dan Friesen told that at this time Larry Schnackenberg’s family is attending his medical needs and asked the media respect “their privacy” during this time of reunion.
