Oct 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Although they were once considered an absolute necessity, the clock may be ticking for the wristwatch, thanks to the huge number of time-telling devices which we all carry around with us everywhere.

According to a report in the ‘Daily Mail’, market researchers from ‘Mintel’ state that one out of every seven people have “no time” for the wristwatch. the Mintel survey suggests that in an age where mobile phones, “iProducts”, laptops, and other such gadgets abound, the wristwatch is being pushed into the “oblivion of non-essentialness”.

Tamara Sender from the Mintel company stated, ‘Many consumers have grown up with technology and are just as likely to associate the notion of checking the time with a mobile handset as with a watch. As they grow older this mindset will accompany them.’
