Michigan Woman who was left alone on a plane has sued United Airlines
May 28th, 2010 - 10:53 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattSouthfield, May 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Michigan woman who was left alone on a plane has now sued United Airlines. Ginger McGuire was taking a flight to Philadelphia and she fell asleep on the flight. When the plane landed at Philadelphia, then no one woke her up. And the all the passengers and crew disembarked from the plane, leaving her alone on the plane.
When Ginger woke up at 4 am, then she was surprised to see that there was no one else on the plane. The plane had landed around 3 hours earlier. She walked in the aisle for around 15 minutes and was wondering what to do. Then suddenly the police opened the door of the plane. They were also surprised to find a woman inside the plane. They asked her for identification, perhaps in order to rule out whether she was there for any sabotage or terrorism related activity.
The law firm of Geoffrey Fieger is representing Ginger, and they have sued United Airlines on her behalf. The lawsuit has been filed in the Wayne County Court in Detroit. In their defense United Airlines has said that they are investigation the incident. “We are working closely with our partner Trans States Airlines to investigate the cause and remedy the situation with the customer,” according to United Airlines spokeswoman Sarah Massier.
