Michelle Clark Karl Davies’ twins die months after death of father
March 11th, 2011 - 11:56 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattSalford, Mar 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 28-year-old woman in just a matter of five months lost three important personalities in her life.
Friends and family members are trying to console Michelle Clark after she lost her twins just months after she had lost her fiancé. Her partner, Karl Davies, died on the same day that the pair had planned to marry. Davies died of leukemia.
Clark was hoping that she would find comfort from the birth of the babies. She gave birth to the babies two months earlier than she should have. The twins- Karl Steven and Ria- were born on the 30th of January and they weighed just 1lb 10oz at birth. The babies were being cared for at Salford Hospital. Ria was the first to die on the 16th of February with Karl Steven dying less than a week later on the 22nd of February. Questions have been raised about the care that was given to the babies. The two babies were buried in the same casket next to where their father was buried.
Officials at Salford Hospital released a statement expressing their condolence. The statement said that, “We extend our sympathies and offer our condolences to the family on the tragic loss of their babies. We immediately launched a detailed and full investigation into this case, this is currently being carried out and we will openly share all of our findings with the family.”
