September 25, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Michaele Salahi, the gate crasher at the White House is certainly getting more than her share of limelight if the reports are to be believed. The media frenzy around her does not show any indication of wavering in the near future and she got be projected in the ‘Real Housewives of Washington D.C.” along with a pictorial depiction in the ‘Playboy’ which is still a rumor. Her bikini shot was also the result of her 15 minutes claim to fame.

But it seems that she is now on her way to achieve the status of being immortal as well. The house of Herobuilders who specialize in dolls have decided to cast her in plastic. They are now selling her image in plastic, an action figure called ‘The girl who changed everything’. The doll has been priced at $39.95 and is available at the manufacturer’s website. The doll is also dressed in an exact replica of the outfit that she wore to the White House state dinner in the November of 2009, a red sari along with a shawl.

Emil Vicale, the founder of Herobuolders says that it wasn’t the idea of the manufacturers. Her agent had apparently approached the doll manufacturers with the entire idea after she had been turned down by Mattel, the makers of Barbie. This piece of news was revealed to the website Politico by Vicale.

Salahi, no stranger to controversy, managed to brew up a fresh one this week as she claimed to have been a cheerleader for the Washington Redskins.
