March 17th, 2010 - 5:59 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO (BNO NEWS) — After condemning the killings of three people linked to the U.S. Consulate in Juarez on Saturday, Mexican President Felipe Calderón said on Tuesday that Mexico and the United States must fight the organized crime in close collaboration, exchanging information and intelligence.
“The fight against organized crime assumes full shared responsibility between the two countries, each in its territory and both within the scope of its powers,” Calderon said.
Accompanied by the governor of Chihuahua, José Reyes Baeza, Calderon expressed his strong indignation and condemned the killings of the three people linked to the U.S. Consulate, but he said that every loss of life is important.
“Every person who dies, hurts us and worries us,” he said.
An evaluation meeting called “We are all Juarez” began on Tuesday afternoon to supervise government programs that have been implemented to try to bring down the crime wave plaguing the border community.
