Mexico City Cooks Up World’s Largest Enchilada

Oct 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Where else but Mexico City would one expect to see the World’s Largest Enchilada be created? Guinness Book of World Records official, Ralph Hannah announced on Sunday that the town has done just that, when they managed to cook up a 70 meter long enchilada which weighed in a one and a half tons.

It took several hours to prepare the huge traditional Mexican dish, which was made from fried tortillas which had been rolled up and stuffed with cheese, and then smothered in cour cream and salsa.

It took a whopping 75 kgs of corn, 273 kgs of white onion, 150 kgs of cheese, 122 kgs of serannos chilies, and 150 litres each of avacado, salsas, sour cream, and a few other ingredients.

This is not the first time in which Mexico City has went for a World Record, after trying recently for both the most people kissing at the same time, and the most people dancing to the song “Thriller” by Michael Jackson simultaneously.
