WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) — Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon is to meet with President Barack Obama on May 19 during a two-day state visit, the White House and the Mexican presidency announced on Thursday.

President Obama will host a state dinner for President Calderon, the White House said, the first since President Obama took office in 2009.

Mexico’s presidency said Calderon and Obama will talk about border infrastructure, trade facilitation, cooperation against transnational organized crime, environment, the challenges facing the Mexican community in America, and the wide range of topics from the fields regionally and internationally.

Calderon will also meet different actors in the U.S. political life, like with legislative leaders to “strengthen the new framework for bilateral cooperation.”
