mineDec 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Metrodome sports stadium’s roof collapsed on Sunday after a massive snowfall of 17 inches. The video of the whole accident shows that the fiberglass roof’s 10-yard strip was left dangling above the field. Owing to this accident, the National Football League has postponed the scheduled game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings to Detroit on Monday night. Metrodome collapse video has already become a wide search on internet as the netizens are scrambling to see what caused that accident.

The stadium officials reported that no one was hurt in the accident and the storm has now moved to east after causing heavy snowfall on Illinois and Michigan. The Metrodome officials have reported that they are optimistic and the field will probably be repaired before December 20. The game between Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants was scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon but the game was already postponed because the New York Giants’ flight was delayed owing to snowfall. Bill Lester, the executive director of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission said that the damage has already been taken care of.

The local media reported that the crew who were clearing snow at the rooftop previously asked NFL to postpone the game to shift from Sunday to Monday. A reputed media source reported that the dome of the stadium suffered damage in its two Teflon panels of the inflatable roof. The organizers of Minnesota Vikings are already refunding the cost of the tickets to people who will not be able to make it to Detroit on Monday. The organizers said that as the venue is shifted at a short notice, there are lot of preparations that needs to be done. However, the organizers have promised that they will leave no stones unturned to make it a “quality” match between Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants.
