Oct. 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) ABC television Network, on Friday, aired the disappearance of ‘Melanie Melanson’, the girl who vanished from a town of New England, on their show “20/20″, which is hosted by Elizabeth Vargas and has David Sloan as the exec. Producer.

This year is also the 20th anniversary of the vanishing of the teenage girl, who disappeared at the age of 15 after her high school party on 27th October 1989, 5 days before she would have celebrated her 15th birthday. She disappeared when she was in the woods with some friends and has not been found yet. Even today the investigation is said to be on, with her family members and the authorities not loosing hope. The case has been under Detective Mike Pandolph who said that “Melanie walked down the path to meet her girlfriends and other kids that were several years older than her, and that was the last time that she was seen. That was 20 years ago.” They had even announced an award very recently and the investigators of this case returned to the site of the disappearance with a new clue that they had apparently discovered.

Not only this but her family will be seen holding a vigil on the Sunday after Halloween, that is the 1st of November 2009. This day is to celebrate her birthday when she would have turned 35 year old. The vigil is being sponsored by her family and her friends, and will be held in the Woburn Memorial High School’s parking lot, situated at 88 Montvale Avenue in the evening at 5p.m and is also open to public members.
