London, Dec 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The McCanns are still pleading with the public to volunteer information to help them locate daughter Madeleine. The girl has been missing since the 3rd of May 2007 when the family went on a vacation in Portugal.

Kate and Gerry McCann have published a jigsaw image of Madeleine on their website Find Madeleine with the words “Do you hold the missing piece of the puzzle?” The story of Madeleine’s disappearance has puzzled investigators around the world. The Spanish police recently announced that they have shared a valuable information with the British police and they hope the information might help to solve the mystery.

Writing on the website, the family revealed that, “Thank you to all our supporters for your help throughout the year and for remaining united with us in our longing and determination to find Madeleine. Our search for Madeleine and the Metropolitan Police review of the case are progressing well.”

The family lauded the UK government for setting up the Government’s Missing Children and Adults’ Strategy. Kate and Gerry says the new body will help parents in their situation the help that they need to reunite with the children or at worst find what happened to them.

The police in Portugal officially closed their investigation into the case in July 2009.
