Marriott International statement on Jakarta hotel bombings: CNBC

- JAKARTA (BNO NEWS) — Catherine Leitner, a spokeswoman for Marriott International, released the following statement to CNBC on Thursday evening after bomb blasts in Jakarta killed at least 6 people and injured dozens more.
“We can confirm that there have been explosions in the vicinity of the J.W. Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia. We are closely monitoring the situation and are working closely with the authorities to assure that our guests and associates are moved to safety. Our deepest sympathies go out to the victims and their families,” Leitner told CNBC.
“We are currently working to assemble a list of employees and registered guests staying in the hotels. As always, the safety and security of our guests and associates is a high priority.”
