Marcie Rousseau Charged With Sexual Misconduct With Student

July 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Marcie Rousseau who is a former high school teacher in Michigan’s Freeland has been slapped with the charges of having sex with an underage student. She has been accused with not one but 29 sexual misconduct counts, as a Midland County prosecutor has confirmed. The lady is 33 years old and has two kids.
She allegedly romped with a student who was 16 year old in May 2009 and carried on the deeds for months. The revelation has sent shock waves in the school and among the parents of the kids studying there as one can imagine. The prosecutor also hinted at the possibility of her having molested two other students back in 2002. However, it is yet to be proved.
The teacher had to resign from her job on June 16. As per the allegations, she took the boy in her car and drove to remote county line to molest him sexually. The former teacher, however, has denied the allegations leveled against her and pleaded not guilty. She got released on bond this Tuesday and since then is getting the focus of the media. If she is found guilty she may have to spend at least 15 years in prison as per the law of the state. The teacher had been working in the school for 8 years, as per the school authorities.
The incident once again points to the possibility of students becoming victimized by people, parents trust the most. The arrest and accusations against the former teacher has also left the school authority red faced. The verdict in the case will be given in July.
