Mansor Mohammed Asad: Delta Passenger Arrested After Threatening To Kill Jews

delta passengerMiami, Jan 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man hailing from Toledo, Ohio was taken into custody from a Detroit-bound flight on Wednesday after he shouted anti-Jew statements and displayed violent behavior, police authorities have revealed. Witnesses claimed that the Delta airlines flight as it was about to take off from the Miami International Airport when the man started yelling in a foreign language.

The person has been identified as 43 year old Mansor Mohammed Asad who was returning from Miami after holidaying with his sister and teenager daughter. Authorities have revealed that the man was unruly and loud while on the plane due to which he had to be escorted off the plane. The authorities have stated that they had to use a Taser device to subdue the man when he became aggressive towards a police officer.

Veronica Ferguson, a spokesperson of the Miami-Dade police has added that following his arrest, Mansor Asad is presently being kept at a Miami prison and has been levied with a number of charges which include disorderly conduct and a host of other offenses.

However, FBI spokesperson Judy Orihuela has ruled out any possibility of a terrorist threat as investigation have not revealed any terrorism connection as yet. At the same time, Mansor Azad’s son Mickey Asad has emphasized that his father is not a terrorist and has also expressed that he suffers from bipolar disorder.

Meanwhile, the U.S airports have been put on high alert following the foiled terrorist attack which took place Detroit bound flight on Christmas day. Since then, U.S authorities are not keeping any stones unturned to avoid any terrorist attempts in future.
