Manhattan residents mistake ‘flying balloons’ to be UFO’s
October 15th, 2010 - 8:29 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattManhattan, Oct 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Wednesday many Americans saw what they thought was an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO).
On Wednesday, the emergency lines were busy with calls from Manhattan residents who thought they were part of the privileged few to have ever witnessed an UFO in their lifetime. That was not to be, as it later emerged that the flying object was a bundle of balloons released by students of Westchester Elementary School during a school party.
The New York Daily News interviewed students of the school who were at the party and the expectations of those who saw the object were dashed. The party was held in honor of the teachers of the school who were having an engagement.
One of the students explained the incident to the New York Daily News in the following words “They looked big and they were all together, so it looked like one UFO”.
The existence of UFOs has been a long debate between Americans and their authorities. Most Americans believe that the government of America is involved in the propaganda to cover up the existence of the objects that are believed to carry aliens. There have been several sightings of throughout history of what people believe are UFOs but authorities say that they are something else.
