Man Tries To Buy Crack With Credit Card, Robbed, Then Arrested

crackMichigan, Feb 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man has been detained by the police after he attempted to buy crack cocaine not with cash, but with his credit card. Earlier on the night of Thursday, the very same man had reported that a car had been stolen. He had described the car to be a Chevy Malibu of the 2003 model. It has been reported by the police that the man had been accused earlier of having stolen the car, but that he had not been arrested as it was he himself who later reported the theft of the same car. The police records indicate that the car had been stolen on Thursday, about 50 miles toward the north northwestern region of Detroit, in Lapeer.

The man, who has not been named by the police, was arrested after he reported to the police about another incident. He lodged a complaint at the police department, claiming that he had encountered armed robbers, who had taken away his belongings by holding him at gunpoint. He also confessed that at that point of time, he was purchasing crack cocaine with his credit card. It has been reported that the incident had occurred sometime before midnight on the University Avenue and Woolcott Street.

The man was arrested by the police after he went to lodge the complaint about the robbery. The arrest was made by the police as buying crack cocaine is a punishable offense. The police have not released any details to the press. Even the name of the man has not been disclosed by the authorities. Currently, all that is known about the man is the fact that he has been detained in the Genesee County Jail.
