Man of East Haven, CT, sentenced for dealing cocaine

BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT (BNO NEWS) – Prosecutors announced on Tuesday that a Venice Place, East Haven man was sentenced to 60 months in prison, followed by six years of supervised release for dealing cocaine.

John Crisanti, 48, and 15 other individuals were charged with various narcotics offenses related to a large-scale distribution of cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and oxycodone in New Haven County by and investigation known as “Operation Brass Deal”. Such investigation is led by the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and seized more than $75,000 in cash, over a kilogram of cocaine, and 750 grams of crack cocaine.

Crisanti purchased and distributed between 300 and 400 grams of cocaine from February to April 2009. When arrested, Crisanti was found in possession of more than 135 grams of cocaine at his residence.
