Ohio, Oct 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A former white supremacist underwent a painful procedure to remove hate tattoos from his face. Bryon Widner who is the founder of the racist organization Vinlanders had several tattoos on his face. He decided to remove the tattoos from his face because he struggled to get a job because of the tattoos.

When he decided to get the tattoos off his face, nothing seemed to be his reach. He revealed that he contemplated using acid to remove the tattoos. He got the help when someone offered to sponsor the laser procedure which cost $32,400.

According to Widner, the procedure was so painful that he had to be put under anesthetic. It took 25 procedures over a period of 16 months to have all the tattoos removed from the face.

The procedure was conducted by Dr Bruce Shack of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Centre in Nashville. He explained that his decision to give Widner general anesthetic was because of the pain that was associated with the procedure.

Widner says the procedure has given him frequent migrane but he believes it is worth it. he said that, “It’s a small price to pay for being human again.”
