Man arrested for using sword to rob pharmacy

Lynchburg, Mar 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man had his sights firmly set on a particular pharmacy shop-he tried twice to rob the shop twice the same day. A pharmacist at the shop, Michael Robertson, witnessed the whole incident and narrated what happened to The News & Advance newspaper.

The newspaper report claims that police in Lynchburg have arrested 27-year-old Michael Edward Towler for trying to rob a pharmacy shop. Michael had earlier on Wednesday entered the shop and tried to rob it but the attendants there tricked him telling him that the police are on the way. He got convinced because he was told that an alarm has been sent to the police. Michael fled the scene but that was not all.

He returned the same day this time with a 3-foot samurai-style sword. Robertson told the newspaper that Michael escaped with undisclosed amount of narcotic drugs. The police were in the scene later and managed to arrest Michael in his house that same day.

He has been charged with robbery, attempted robbery and brandishing a weapon. It is not immediately clear whether Michael has an attorney or not.
