Lewiston, Idaho, Feb 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Altercations and domestic assault have ended several marriages and affected the lives of several young couples. Domestic violence cases have become common these days and people generally do not get surprised if a man has to face imprisonment for assaulting his wife. However, the domestic assault case in Idaho has made news after the groom was arrested on the marriage night.

It has been reported that a young man of 21 years was twice arrested on the night of his marriage on the charges of assaulting the new bride in somewhere close to eastern Washington. According to the court records, the man, who was arrested on the night of his wedding has been identified as Nathan Lewis. Reports also indicated that he is a resident of Lewiston. Though sources revealed the name of the man, they did not provide any information about his wife’s identity. As per the reports, the man has been booked on Tuesday with the charges of second degree assault.

Reports also indicated that the newly married wife complained that she was choked and slapped during the altercation. Assault of a bride and arrest of a groom on the night of marriage is really a disappointment for the couple, who were set to start a new journey. The young couple might not have anticipated to experience such a start of their married life and have not disclosed the cause of their altercation. They have also not provided any information about the future of their married life and so it is not known whether they would live together or not.
