The US Geological Survey of Earthquake administration report says that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 12 miles shook Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Jersey, New Hampshire and West Virginia. The workers of the Parliament building in Ottawa evacuated the building and left it for inspection.
