Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Dazzles Chicago

Chicago, Nov 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This Saturday truly marked the beginning of a holiday season for the residents of Chicago. Thousands of people had gathered at Chicago for the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on Saturday.
The 19th Annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival started off at 11 am on Saturday at the Pioneer Court, in 401 N. Michigan Avenue. The grand event started off from Oak Street to Wacker Drive, with the immortal Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse leading the procession from 5:30 pm to 7 in the evening. Other holiday activities were also seen to happen, showcasing pictures of Santa Claus. There were performances going on in an outdoor stage. More than 1 million lights were switched off for this grand festival. The city of Chicago was basking high in its shining glory. Michigan Avenue of the city saw a million lights all over 200 trees.
People were in a chirpy mood and danced to the tune of the festivity which had completely descended over the city of Chicago. It was a time of sheer revelry. From infants to oldies, every one was seen in an elated mood. The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival had not only adorned the city but also brought light to the faces of everyone who were present to mark this grand event. The city got illuminated with the true spirit of revelry dawning with the onset of the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival 2010. This event also brought quite some benefits on the part of the retailers whose business saw a huge profit as a result of the festival. On the whole, the festival created an accurate holiday picture for the Chicago residents.
