New York City, Nov.26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Over the years, the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade held in the New York City has turned in to a prevailing tradition for all. This year, the historic parade is on it’s 83rd anniversary and is all set to light up the streets of New York City with the colorful balloons and floats. Certainly, a lot of celebrity appearances are also linked to the immensely hyped and popular event. The merrily dressed moving troupe is something that most people look forward to at the head of the holiday season.

A sneak peak in to the event schedule featured this year highlighted that a Uncle Sam balloon, a big turkey float and more are going to be among the things that will add grace to the colorful occasion. Also, Santa and his elves would be working extra time during the parade, as they go about on their sledge. So, a lot of things to look out for certainly. This year’s parade is going to be hosted by Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer and Al Roker, which is certainly going to be another big draw.

The route that the troupe will charter this year will begin at the 77th Street and Central Park West. According to Exec Prod Robin Hall, “Dramatic changes in the mid-town landscape will divert us for the first time from the fabled Broadway route we have to follow since our first Parade in 1924.”

This year’s celebrity guests list include names of Emily Hughes, Andrea Bocelli, Boys Like Girls, Gloria Gaynor, Alan Cumming, Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, Kermit the Frog and Tiffany Thornton, Billy Currington, Jane Krakowski, Ziggy Marley with Judah Marley and many others.
