casinoLouisiana, Apr 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Senator Rob Marionneaux and his ever increasing measures to uplift the health conditions of state Louisiana knows no bounds. Reportedly, the senator was the first one to have gone ahead and approach the Senate house which approved the proposal of smoke ban in all public places of Louisiana. Now he plans to put an end to all unfinished task. In other words, the Louisiana public smoking ban witnessed the bars and the casinos to be exempted from the rule. Now it has been announced that the Louisiana bars and the casinos shall have to adopt a strict “no smoking policy” even inside the bar and the casino area.

With the Senate House approving the bill, the whole situation calls in for heavy debate and opposing ideas. The senate Bill 334 is the new bill that puts a ban on all in house casino and bar smoking which is a follow up to the Bill 348 that stops people from smoking publicly. The Louisiana senator is of the opinion that all passive smokers in the casinos that includes the bartenders, the musicians and other such employees of the casino are at high health risk due to their presence in a smokers environ. This was also the very reason which gave the proponents of the bill an upper hand against the opponents who believed that such a decision will only affect the revenue of the business.

In the wake of the bill which has already received the stamp of arrival from the Senate House, the bar and the casino owners are all up against the issue. As a matter of fact, a two week smoke ban inflicted upon the Casinos in Atlantic City way back in the year of 2008 witnessed a steady downfall in its revenue as people ceased to turn up at the casinos owing to the smoke ban.
