London, Feb 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rail services to London from Kent was delayed on Wednesday morning because of dew.

Commuters on the trains of Southern Train Company were astonished when they were told that weather conditions mean they have to be delayed. The weather at that time was clear.

The explanation that was given by the spokesperson of the company later got some passengers laughing sarcastically. The passengers were told that the rails have dew on them and because of that the travel would have to be delayed.

The spokesperson said that, “This is a railhead phenomenon that happens at this time of the year. Dew gets on the tracks and makes conditions difficult.”

Early travelers were left stranded due to the delays. The delays affected travelers who were going to Sussex from Kent. Commuters from Godstone to Tonbridge were also affected because of the dew.

The travels of several Brits were severely interrupted when the country experienced one of the heaviest snow fall in recent memory. The sheer amount of snow on roads, airport runways and rails made any kind of travel nearly impossible in most parts of the country. Now dew is an addition.
