Dec 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are a number of problems that the passengers flying in various airlines have to face including the quality of meals. However, the incident of Monserrate Luna can beat all bizarre incidents in airline industry. This beautician hailing from Puerto Rico is likely to remember her experience of in flight meals of American Airlines for the rest of her life. Incredible as it may sound she was served lizard in her meal. She wanted chicken in her dinner and instead of the tasty poultry bird she was served with the reptile meat. The lady took the flight in 2003 from JFK to San Juan.

When she was served the food she was absent minded as she was watching a movie in the flight. She put the lizard into her mouth and even started chewing it. However, very soon she understood that it was anything but chicken that she was trying to eat!. She later said that when she understood what was given to her and she tried eating that she felt like dying. When the lady found the meat was unusual she spit it on napkin. That was when she made the shocking discovery. Her son who was 5 year old identified the object as a lizard.

She subsequently file a lawsuit at Manhattan federal court. She had to suffer from a number of side effects subsequently. The airline’s lawyer however denied it was lizard that was served in her dinner. The lawyer Kenneth Gormley said in his argument that “there may have been some feathers, or what looked like feathers … but there was no lizard.”
