Light earthquake rattles San Diego County, CA
March 9th, 2010 - 5:10 pm ICT by BNO NewsJULIAN, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) — A light earthquake rattled California’s San Diego County on Monday, seismologist said. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
The earthquake happened at 8.18 p.m. local time and was centered about 14 miles (23 kilometers) east-southeast of the unincorporated community of Julian, or 48 miles (77 kilometers) east-northeast of San Diego.
The quake struck at a depth of 3.7 miles (6 kilometers), making it a shallow earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the earthquake.
