Light earthquake rattles Guam, no damage
July 1st, 2010 - 12:03 am ICT by BNO NewsHAGATNA, GUAM (BNO NEWS) — A light earthquake rattled the United States island territory of Guam on early Thursday, seismologists said, but there were no reports of damage or casualties.
The 4.6-magnitude earthquake at 12.43 a.m. local time (1443 GMT Wednesday) was centered approximately 24 miles (39 kilometers) south of Hagatna, the capital of Guam. It struck about 51.3 miles (82.5 kilometers) deep, making it a fairly deep earthquake, according top the U.S. Geological Survey.
There were no reports of damage or casualties from the early morning earthquake.
